A friend sent me this amazing picture from the top of the Burj Dubai the world tallest building (still underconstruction).
The tiny skyscrapers on the left are over 55 stories and look like toy houses. Also checkout the guys standing on the top balancing on a beam, crazy builders!

Also cant tell if it is the lense on the camera that tool the shot or can you actually see the curviture of the earch on the horizon.
Nope. The curvature is due to the convex lens used. It wont be possible to capture the picture with the vicinity with a normal camera. I have read comments on few websites that the workers can see the rotation of the earth from the top of the tower. I find it hillarious and amusing to read such comments.

The curvature of the earth can be seen (with a lot of good will) starting from altitudes of about 50,000 ft (17 kilometres) altitude and above.
Sorry guys, but I’m afraid this won’t ever be seen from some arabian rooftop…
If you want to visit the Burj Dubai go to http://www.burjdubaivisit.com!!!
Unbelievable…………….

this was taken using a fish-eye lens, hence the ridiculous and unreal curviture. extremely tall building though!
